Licensed, Certified, and Dedicated to the Best Inspections in Texas

Experience & Dedication

Welcome to True State Property Inspection, the leader in home inspection services. My name is Clayton Baker, InterNACHI Certified Home Inspector and TREC Licensed Home Inspector (TREC #23703). I am proud of what we have built here at True State. We provide thorough inspections that really help people in making one of life’s biggest decisions. But what makes us the area’s premier home inspection company? The answer: Experience and credentials.

I have extensive experience that cannot be taught in a classroom or put in a textbook. I began my journey to becoming a professional home inspector in my early teens. In addition to being a school teacher, my father also owned a small construction company. Working by his side is where I began to develop an interest in the construction process and all the systems that interact to make a home comfortable and safe for those who call it Home. Summer breaks were spent working on home additions and roofing houses. As his company grew I found myself working on many of his commercial construction projects throughout my high school years. The work ethic and knowledge I gained during this time I carried into my college days where I earned a Masters Degree in Mathematics while continuing to do construction labor for a local contractor. After college, I gained valuable experience working in the areas of education, finance and technology all the while continuing to take on light remodeling projects, building custom homes and buying distressed properties. Now, I am able to utilize all of these experiences as a professional home inspector. I have found the home inspection process encompasses many things I enjoy including real estate, problem identification, and most of all providing invaluable knowledge to my clients so that they may have peace of mind when buying, selling or building a home.
